The Vega-Test Machine

A device called the Vega-test machine is promoted by some alternative medicine practitioners for diagnosing illnesses and determining appropriate treatments.


What is Vega testing and how does it work?

Vega test is a form of modified electro acupuncture. It is an unorthodox method of diagnosing allergic and other diseases. It is a fast, safe, painless, and most importantly, accurate way of gathering information about your body.

The apparatus consists of a box containing a galvanometer which compares the resistance between the skin in contact with a hand electrode and the skin tested with a measuring stylus. The other contents of the box are an electrical source.

It comes with a hand-held electrical probe which the physician presses against the individual acupoint of interest. The patient holds a brass tube in one hand, which is connected by a wire to the Vega Machine. By holding this tube, the patient permits a completed electrical circuit to occur when the metal-tipped probe touches the acupoint. Analysis of the readout helps the practitioner to identify the most damaged/stressed organs in the body. Allergies can be assessed too.

If the acupoint is found to be out of balance, the practitioner then recommends treatment which may involve electro-acupuncture, homeopathic remedies and dietary and lifestyle advice. The Vega machine can be used to identify which herbal or homeopathic remedies would best suit the patient by measuring the patient’s reactions to homeopathic dilutions. Those that normalize the readings are those which will be beneficial.

Vega testing is particularly is particularly useful in finding out about health problems for which the cause is unknown, if there are a number of health problems, there has been a recurring health problem or a problem that is not responding to treatment, or any situation that involves a seemingly complicated or vague symptom picture.

Vega testing can be used to monitor the progress that a patient is making, without having to re-run expensive laboratory tests.
